The trail, if you've never been, is up Highway 24, near Tarryall Reservoir. It's a fairly moderate trail with some rock playgrounds, a couple of obstacles to play on, and some neat camping areas.
The CFW's have adopted the trail and perform trail maintenance and quarterly cleanup runs to insure the trail stays open and is enjoyable for everyone's use. We run it for some of our night runs as well.
Club members who went on this trip were really happy to see so many new faces, especially for a January cleanup run, in the snow! There were 16 rigs for the run, with 29 people. The great thing about the huge turnout is that CFW was able to report over 300 community service hours to the state. This helps the Forest Service know that we are out taking care of our trail!
Thanks to everyone who came out to help. CFW is happy to have guests on our runs, and very appreciative of the help cleaning up the trail!
A mini cleanup run is also scheduled for Sunday, 2/15, to gather up chemical waste and debris from an unassociated rollover that happened on the trail on 2/8.
These are a few photos that were taken. More can be found on the Facebook page!
